Human Placental Vascular Endothelial Cells (HPVEC) are an excellent in vitro model to study vascular defects in the placenta and elucidate the mechanisms of angiogenesis and vasculogenesis.HPVEC are isolated from human placenta. HPVEC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. Each vial contains 5 x 10^5 cells in 1 ml volume. HPVEC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to vWF/Factor VIII. HPVEC are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.

Rat Intestinal Mesenteric Vascular Endothelial Cells from Gentaur are isolated from tissue of adult Sprague-Dawley Rats. Rat Intestinal Mesenteric Vascular Endothelial Cells are grown in T75 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based solution for 0.5 hour and incubated in Gentaur's Cell Culture Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml and are delivered frozen.Rat Intestinal Mesenteric Vascular Endothelial Cells can be used in assays of cell to cell adhesion, migration, vascular tube formation, or transendothelial resistance (TER). Standard biochemical procedures performed with endothelial cell cultures include PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent staining or immunofluorescent flow cytometry or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.

The lymphatic system is an essential part of the immune system. It serves distinct yet complementary function with the blood vascular system in maintaining tissue homeostasis. The lymphatic system returns fluid and macromolecules from the tissues back into blood circulation and, thus, plays a vital role in the regulation of fluid, protein, and pressure equilibrium in tissues. Although lymphatic capillary endothelial cells have many properties in common with the endothelium of blood vessels, they also have distinct structural characteristics reflecting their specific functions. Lymphatic capillaries lack mural cells and are characterized by an incomplete or absent basement membrane. Lymphatic endothelium typically contains numerous invaginations and cytoplasmic vesicles as well as characteristic overlapping intercellular junctions. One of the most striking characteristics of the lymphatic capillary is its integration within the interstitium which is connected to the extracellular matrix by fine strands of elastic fibers.HLEC from Gentaur Research Laboratories are isolated from human lymph nodes. HLEC are cryopreserved on passage one and delivered frozen. Each vial contains 5×10 ^5 cells in 1 ml volume. HLEC are characterized by immunofluorescent method with antibodies to vWF/Factor VIII and CD31 (P-CAM) and by uptake of DiI-Ac-LDL. HLEC are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi. HLEC are guaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings at the conditions provided by Gentaur Research Laboratories.

The eye contains highly vascularised and completely avascular tissues in close apposition. This specialized anatomy requires tight regulation of the balance between vascular quiescence and vascular growth.

The spleen performs essential functions in the turnover of erythrocytes. It removes erythrocytes, metabolizes hemoglobin, and recycles iron. The spleen also mounts a primary immune response to antigens in the blood and synthesizes antibodies in its white pulp. Human splenic endothelial cells (HSEC), resembling endothelial cells from other parts of the body, constitute the natural interface between the blood and the underlying tissue. Previous studies have demonstrated an intriguing link between splenic endothelial cells, splenic hamartoma and capillary hemangioma. Splenic endothelial cells have also shown a supportive micro-environment for the development of dendritic cells. Furthermore, rapid destruction of young erythrocytes can occur in spleen due to altered endothelial cell-macrophage interactions. These observations suggest that splenic endothelial cells play more compelling roles in the mononuclear phagocyte system. HSEC from Gentaur Research Laboratories are isolated from human spleen. HSEC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. Each vial contains 5×10^5 cells in 1 ml volume. HSEC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to VWF/Factor VIII and CD31 (P-CAM), and by uptake of DiI-Ac-LDL. HSEC are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi. HSEC are guaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings under the conditions provided by Gentaur Research Laboratories.
