Human Placental Vascular Endothelial Cells (HPVEC) are an excellent in vitro model to study vascular defects in the placenta and elucidate the mechanisms of angiogenesis and vasculogenesis.HPVEC are isolated from human placenta. HPVEC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. Each vial contains 5 x 10^5 cells in 1 ml volume. HPVEC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to vWF/Factor VIII. HPVEC are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.

Rat Intestinal Mesenteric Vascular Endothelial Cells from Gentaur are isolated from tissue of adult Sprague-Dawley Rats. Rat Intestinal Mesenteric Vascular Endothelial Cells are grown in T75 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based solution for 0.5 hour and incubated in Gentaur's Cell Culture Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml and are delivered frozen.Rat Intestinal Mesenteric Vascular Endothelial Cells can be used in assays of cell to cell adhesion, migration, vascular tube formation, or transendothelial resistance (TER). Standard biochemical procedures performed with endothelial cell cultures include PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent staining or immunofluorescent flow cytometry or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.

Rat Spleen Endothelial Cells from Gentaur are isolated from tissue of 1-day-old neonatal Sprague-Dawley Rats. Rat Spleen Endothelial Cells are grown in T75 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based solution for 0.5 hour and incubated in Gentaur's Cell Culture Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials.
