Porcine Aortic Fibroblasts are isolated from aorta of porcine. Porcine Aortic Fibroblasts are grown in T75 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution for 2 min and incubated in Gentaur Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Prior to shipping, cells are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials.
ABC-TC3903
Monkey Primary Aortic Fibroblasts from Gentaur are isolated from aortic tissue of Cynomolgus Monkey. Monkey Primary Aortic Fibroblasts are grown in T25 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based solution for 0.5 hour and incubated in Gentaur Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.Monkey Primary Aortic Fibroblasts are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 3-6 passages at a split ratio of 1:3 under the cell culture conditions specified by Gentaur. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.Standard biochemical procedures performed with cell cultures include the assay of cell to cell interaction, RT-PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent staining, flow cytometry or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.

Rabbit Primary Aortic Fibroblasts from Gentaur are isolated from aortic tissue of New Zealand White Rabbits. Rabbit Primary Aortic Fibroblasts are grown in T25 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based solution for 0.5 hour and incubated in Gentaur Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen. Rabbit Primary Cardiac Fibroblasts from Gentaur are isolated from heart tissue of New Zealand White Rabbit. Rabbit Primary Cardiac Fibroblasts are grown in T75 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution for 2 min and incubated in Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 0.5x106 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.

Gastric fibroblasts (GF), which are located in the stomach, are mesenchymal cells derived from the embryonic mesoderm. Fibroblasts secrete a non-rigid extracellular matrix that is both rich in type I and/or type III collagen. They are responsible for much of the synthesis of extracellular matrix in connective tissues and play a central role in wound healing. Studies in vitro and in vivo show that GF can regulate epithelial regeneration by influencing epithelial cell proliferation and differentiation. In addition to their role in wound healing, human GF (HGF) have been shown to be key contributors in the development and progression of gastric carcinoma. HGF are a useful model for examining the underlying mechanisms that cause gastric carcinoma and may provide novel insights for developing new cancer drug therapies.

Human Kidney Fibroblasts are isolated from the human adult healthy renal tissue. HKF-a are cryopreserved after passage one culture and delivered frozen. HKF-a are guaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings under the conditions provided by in the technical sheet. As an excretory organ in the urinary system, the kidney greatly influences an individual’s well being by preserving homeostasis through regulating electrolytes, pH, and blood pressure among other control mechanisms. Comprising the majority of interstitial cells in the kidney, renal fibroblasts are responsible for the synthesis of collagen I of the extracellular matrix. Also, renal cortical fibroblasts synthesize erythropoietin, an important glycoprotein hormone that controls the production of red blood cells and renal medullary fibroblasts produce prostaglandins, a class of autocrine or paracrine hormones, which help maintain water and electrolyte homeostasis. Renal interstitial fibrosis, a disorder that may escalate to chronic kidney disease, is often correlated with excessive deposition of extracellular matrix by renal fibroblasts, the regulation of which process is under intensive research.
